‘Learning through play’ is the foundation of our Centre’s curriculum. Our curriculum is based on a child’s interests, abilities, strengths, skills and from input from families. We also use intentional teaching to facilitate and support children’s learning process. In our service, we view all children as competent and capable learners. We believe that the learning journey of each individual child is unique. Children have various ways of expressing themselves and a hundred ways of constructing knowledge. Hence, our educational pedagogies and practices incorporate critical reflection and documentation of each child’s learning to ensure each child’s strengths; interests and capabilities underpin our curriculum.

As a team, we continually seek ways to build our professional knowledge through ongoing critical reflection and updating ourselves with current practices. We use the code of ethics to guide our professional behaviour and our relationships with children, colleagues, families, community and society.
